Dominic Hendry Selvaraj belonging to the Salesian Province of Chennai (INM) was born on 13th June 1981 at Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. He made his novitiate at Idayadeepam Novitiate in Yellagiri, Tamil Nadu during the year 1999-2000 and made his First Profession as a Salesian on 24th May 2000. From May 2000 to May 2002, he did his philosophical studies at Jnanodaya Salesian College in Yercaud, Tamil Nadu. He did his practical training at Don Bosco Boy’s Home, Perambur (2002-2003) and Don Bosco Aspirantate, Tirupattur (2003-2004). He obtained his Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) at Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur and Bachelors of Arts in English (BA) through distant Education at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) during the year 2004-2007. He made his perpetual profession on 24th May 2007. He was ordained a priest on 27th December 2010 after the completion of his Theological studies at Sacred Heart Seminary, Poonamallee, Chennai from 2007-2010. After the priestly ordination, he served as an Assistant Parish Priest in Holy Spirit Parish, Tagore Nagar, Pondicherry for five months. From 2011-2013 he was appointed as Resource person and Administrator at Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre, Ennore, Chennai. Currently he is pursuing his doctoral research on Mgr. Louis Mathias SDB (1887-1965) in the faculty of Catholic Church History at Gregorian Pontifical University, Rome after having completed his Licentiate in Catholic Church History in the same university during the year 2013-2016.
